Legislation concerning the excise duty

The Official Journal of the European Union published the:

– Council Regulation (EU) 2020/261 of 19 December 2019 amending Regulation (EU) No 389/2012 on administrative cooperation in the field of excise duties as regards the content of electronic registers;

– Council Directive (EU) 2020/262 of 19 December 2019 laying down the general arrangements for excise duty (recast);

– Decision (EU) 2020/263 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 15 January 2020 on computerising the movement and surveillance of excise goods (recast) .

LAST PUBLICATIONS OF THE COURT OF JUSTICE OF THE EUROPEAN UNION

The Official Journal of the European Union published the Last publications of the Court of Justice of the European Union including:

– Action brought on 12 December 2019 — Golden Omega v Commission (Case T-846/19) — annul Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2019/1661 of 24 September 2019 concerning the classification of certain goods in the Combined Nomenclature (OJ 2019 L 251, p. 1) in its entirety;

– Action brought on 18 December 2019 – Nevinnomysskiy Azot and NAK ‘Azot’ v Commission (Case T-865/19) — annul the Regulation (EU) 2016/1036 of the European Parliament and of the Council ( 2) (the ‘basic Regulation’), as far as it applies to the applicants.

Economic Partnership Agreement between Côte d’Ivoireand the European Community and its Member States

The Official Journal of the European Union published the  Decision No 2/2019 of the EPA Committee established under the stepping stone Economic Partnership Agreement between Côte d’Ivoire, of the one part, and the European Community and its Member States, of the other part of 2 December 2019 as regards the adoption of Protocol 1 concerning the definition of the concept of ‘originating products’ and methods of administrative cooperation [2020/195].

Initiation of an investigation concerning possible circumvention of anti-dumping measures

The Official Journal of the European Union published the  Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2020/230 of 19 February 2020 initiating an investigation concerning possible circumvention of anti-dumping measures imposed by Implementing Regulation (EU) 2015/83 on imports of monosodium glutamate originating in the People’s Republic of China, and making such imports subject to registration.
